Amy & Matt | The Old Milking Parlour Wedding Photography | Rustic, relaxed, summer casual farm wedding in Somerset
So many beautiful memories . I was putting together this blog and I couldn't stop smiling. So much love , laughter and fun. I knew It would be an amazing wedding from the start and I dont mean just styling of the wedding. I mean the atmosphere . I believe that weddings are all about celebration of love, great food and entertainment. Lots of dancing , smiles and laughter and endless feel of love . And this wedding was all of these things !!!
We met with Amy and Matt before the wedding at The Old Milking Parlour farm and I also had pleasure meeting owners of the farm Lou and Colin that were so caring and so much fun to be around . Sometimes you come to the venue and it feels very official but at Old Milking Parlour farm it is different . It's personal . Its all about care and making your special day extra special ! :)
Here is Amy and Matt story . Enjoy !!! :))
How did you meet ?
''Matt and I have been friends for 19 years. We met in Wincanton at The White Horse while Matt was questioning my choice of music at the jukebox. Many years on, we reconnected at our favourite festival, with me being in Bournemouth and Matt in Sherborne it was our mutable friend Luke who decided to meddle and get us to realise our true feelings for each other. After a visit to Bournemouth one weekend to see me....the rest was history''.
''Matt and I visited Paris for our 3rd Anniversary so I could finally go to Disneyland!! When we got to the Disney castle, Matt was making me get closer and closer to the castle for a picture. I couldn’t quite understand why he wanted me so close to the castle and how he was going to get a good picture. Next thing I knew he was on one knee and holding the most gorgeous ring, which I had been eyeing up for the past 2 years. He ask me in what I thought was garbled mess but really was ‘will you marry me?’ In FRENCH!! I couldn’t believe he had hidden something from me for so long but also that this ring I had been eyeing up was in front of me being held by the man I was absolutely in love with.''
How would you describe your relationship in one sentence ?
A teamwork of music, wise words, weirdness and love.
Wedding Planning Tips
Book early, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise about being super organised. Go to wedding shows and use Pinterest. But don’t think you have to try and conform. It’s your wedding and there are no rules.
