Hi, I'm Oxana!
I live just outside the ancient city of Bath, and sometimes have to pinch myself at being able to work in one of the UK's most beautiful places. I'm a bit obsessed with the English countryside, long walks, hidden farm cafés, rustic campsites, bodyboarding on the Cornish coast, cold winter days and open fires in old English pubs. Most of all I love the little things, and try to live a life that makes me happy.
My Photography Experience
My journey as a photographer first started in Russia, and I've been interested in photography since the age of 16. Photographing people has always been my passion. Some photographers start off by taking pictures of flowers but I got straight into portraits, taking photographs of my brother, niece... then people on the street.
I studied at Moscow State University of Arts and Culture, training as a TV & film director. While studying I got a job with the Russian TV Culture Channel as an assistant of director and for seven years I worked on television. I met so many amazing people and learned a lot about my profession , the arts.
I wanted to learn more about photography and I 'knocked on the door' of the Moscow Times Newspaper. I'm not sure how I did it but I ended up learning from the best reportage photographers :)) I later moved to the UK to get my MA in photography. I studied at Falmouth University where I focused on Fine Art Photography. I have done several fine art photography exhibitions, and have been published in a range of top art magazines. I never stop learning and growing, and find it one of the most exciting aspects of life! Check my Fine art photography here
I have been photographing weddings in the UK from 2009 and Full -Time Wedding Photographer for over 6 years . Its been the most rewarding and exciting journey and I am absolutely passionate about it.
Photography, art is my passion and weddings allow me to be that artist, that reportage photographer and enjoy being around people. I've achieved my dream to do the thing I love the most.
Thank you to my couples: for giving me the creative freedom to capture the emotions and fun of your wedding, in a beautiful and natural way.
