The concept for this shoot was born from Joanna's @theorchidkitchen love of ballet and nature. Both ballet and nature captivated her with their grace, fluidity, and the subtle power they hold. This fascination led her to envision a shoot that harmoniously blends the elegance of ballet with the serene beauty of natural settings, Alicia's @aliciaflowerdesigner stunning flower arrangements and textures.
Joanna : ''When it comes to colors and textures, I’ve always been drawn to the simplicity and purity found in nature. For this shoot, I chose a palette of soft, muted tones, including blush pinks, delicate creams, and gentle greens with just settled colour accents. These colours evoke a sense of calm and complement the natural environment without overpowering it. The textures were equally important, with a focus on natural fabrics like tulle and linen, which add a delicate, airy quality reminiscent of ballet costumes.
The choice of venue was crucial to bring this vision to life. Both, Alicia and I were always in love with raw wall textures, grand gildings and it's history. I chose The Mount Without because of its breath-taking scenery and timeless beauty. Its raw and unique interior, with muted colours and intriguing history, provided a perfect blend of historical charm and natural splendour. This made it an ideal backdrop for a shoot that celebrates both the structured elegance of ballet and the organic forms found in nature. The Mount Without offers several unique ceremony and reception spaces. The Crypt at The Mount Without is a striking underground space with a mysterious and historic ambiance. This area offers a unique setting for intimate weddings or elopements. The Mezzanine overlooks the Main Hall, providing a stunning vantage point and additional space for guests. It is often used for smaller ceremonies or as a quiet retreat during larger events. The Main Hall is the centrepiece of The Mount Without. This expansive room features high ceilings, stained glass windows, and an open floor plan, making it ideal for large ceremonies and receptions.
Capacity
The Mount Without can host weddings of various sizes. The Main Hall and Reception Hall can each accommodate up to 200 guests. The Garden Area and Outdoor Reception Area are ideal for smaller, more intimate gatherings. The Chapel Area is perfect for up to 50 guests. Different layout options are available, from traditional seating to more unconventional arrangements, ensuring flexibility in planning your event.
Catering Options
The Mount Without offers in-house catering services with a range of menu options. Couples can also choose to bring in external caterers if preferred.
