Charlotte and James’s Relaxed, Festival-Themed Wedding with Stunning Glastonbury Views
Charlotte and James chose Pennard Hill Farm in Somerset for their wedding, a place with special meaning to them and incredible views of Glastonbury. As huge Glastonbury Festival fans, it was the perfect location to celebrate their love. The day was filled with personal touches, including an outdoor ceremony, an emotional first look, and a relaxed festival vibe. Surrounded by their closest family, friends, and their puppy, who brought the rings to the ceremony, they enjoyed a fun, laidback celebration. It was all about capturing real, candid moments with people they love —just the way they imagined.
Getting Ready at Pennard Hill Farm
Charlotte's Bridal Preparations in the Cottage
Charlotte spent the morning getting ready in the cozy cottage at Pennard Hill Farm. With its spacious kitchen and bright, airy rooms, it was the perfect spot for Charlotte, her bridesmaids, and family to prepare for the big day. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and a few happy tears. During this time, James sent Charlotte a special gift, which she opened alone, creating a memorable and emotional moment.
Capturing Emotional Moments: First Look with Charlotte’s Father
One of the most touching moments of the day was Charlotte’s first look with her father at the cottage. She had a special gift ready for him, making the moment even more emotional. It was a beautiful and intimate moment that set the tone for the rest of the day.
James’s Preparation in the Safari Tent
Just a short walk from the cottage, James and his groomsmen got ready in a spacious safari tent overlooking the fields of Glastonbury. Joined by his dad, Charlotte’s dad, and friends, James had a relaxed start to the day. Charlotte also sent him a gift, and capturing his reaction made for another special moment.

Charlotte and James’s Outdoor Ceremony
For their ceremony, Charlotte and James chose a secluded garden area for an outdoor celebration. Their legal 20-minute ceremony was held under a structure to make it official, but it still felt intimate and beautiful. Their 1-year-old puppy played the role of ring bearer, which was absolutely adorable. The whole ceremony was filled with laughter and special moments, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

Capturing Candid Moments
Charlotte and James wanted their wedding photography to feel relaxed and authentic. Pennard Hill Farm provided the perfect backdrop, with its far-reaching views of Glastonbury. The couple and their guests were able to enjoy reception drinks while I focused on taking pictures of candid moments, with the stunning picturesque background. Charlotte and James prioritized spending time with their family and friends over posing for endless group shots.
Confetti and Group Photos with a Glastonbury View
After the ceremony, Charlotte and James had a few minutes to themselves, while guests walked to the tipi reception for drinks. We captured a confetti shot with the incredible views over Glastonbury, followed by group photos with the bridal party and family. These took about 20 minutes. Then I focused on candid moments during reception drinks.
Reception & Wedding Breakfast in the Tipi
The reception featured live saxophone and piano music during the drinks reception, followed by a talented singer after the main course. The entertainment was a huge hit with the guests, setting the tone for a fun and lively evening. The wedding breakfast was served in a beautifully decorated tipi with views of the Glastonbury fields. The in-house chef prepared an incredible artisan meal, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Evening Reception: Dancing, Cocktails, and Sunset Photos
After dinner, the celebration continued with heartfelt speeches, followed by dancing, cocktails, and a lively photo booth with fun props. Later in the evening, Charlotte and James took a few minutes to capture sunset photos, making the most of the last light over Glastonbury for a perfect end to their special day.
